Elizabeth A. Hernandez is a Litigation Attorney with BD&J, PC in Los Angeles. She primarily handles catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and premises liability cases. She is the President-Elect of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), which means she will be President of CAALA in 2026 and the first Latina to serve in that role.
She is the Immediate Past-President of the Mexican American Bar Association of Los Angeles County (MABA). She is on the Board of Directors of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC). In 2022, she received CAOC's Robert E. Cartwright, Sr. Award, which is given in recognition of excellence in trial advocacy and dedication to teaching trial advocacy to fellow lawyers as well as the public. In 2021, she was recognized as one of the Daily Journal's Top Women Lawyers. She has been selected by her peers for inclusion on the Best Lawyers in America list for her work in Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs from 2016 to the present. She has also been on the Southern California Super Lawyers list from 2020 to the present.
Ms. Hernandez has been a speaker at various seminars and conferences. She has also written articles that have been published in various legal publications including CAALA’s Advocate journal, CAOC’s Forum magazine and Plaintiff magazine. She also takes pride in serving as a mentor in the mentorship programs of various organizations.
